Monica Bush Garrett
Monica Bush Garrett, Owner of Gatehouse Designs, LLC. and Co-Owner of Buckeystown Design Co-Op. I have owned my own Design Businesses for 20 years. Vintage Faux Designs Studio, established in 1999 in North Carolina and GateHouse Designs,LLC. established in 2009 in Maryland. I began my career in High Point, NC working for Wood-Armfield Furniture, in Sales and Design. My Faux Finishing Company, Vintage Faux Design Studio, had contracts in multiple showrooms of the High Point Furniture Market. I immersed myself into my LOVES.....furniture, painting, and design.
I have a WONDERFUL husband, four sweet children. As life changes constantly.... we moved to Barnesville, Maryland at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain, in the Montgomery County Ag-Reserve. It is absolutely beautiful! What to do, but buy a 250 year old, abandoned home to restore AND open another business. I travel the Southeast, looking for fabulous furniture and home decor for my clients and customers.
If I had to describe my "Signature Style", it would be Hygge mixed with Refined European Farmhouse, a Twist of Veranda and topped off with a dollop of Ralph Lauren. I adore English, French and Scandinavian antiques mixed with new furniture, rustic architectural pieces, fabulous lighting, gilded frames, plush upholstery and texture galore. I also LOVE to bring the "Outside" in with greenery and gorgeous home decor.
Gatehouse Designs, LLC. offers Interior Decorating services. Also, Buckeystown Design Co-Op is our Design Center in the heart of historic Buckeystown . I am open by appointment for consults and special orders, and can be found at the Co-Op most days. Call ahead to be sure. GateHouse Designs also offers a Design Program for Interior Designers and Decorators... We love working with Creative People!

William & Mosby
AnnWray Marland, Owner of William & Mosby, and Co-Owner of Buckeystown Design Co-Op. Owning my own creative small business is an exciting journey outside of my past experiences. I began a career in the medical field at Johns Hopkins Hospital after graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in chemistry. After meeting my husband, I graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in nursing and began a 15 year career in pediatric nursing.
I have always looked for outlets that let me tap into my creativity outside of the rigors of medicine and science. I began hunting, buying, and painting solid wood vintage furniture during a remodel of my oldest daughter’s bedroom. I instantly fell in love with the process and continued well past the completion of the remodeling.
My hobby turned into a successful business whose style and direction are ever-evolving. My current and favorite decorating style is a true mixture of transitional and traditional with a focus on soft hues that will always be in style. I now carry multiple wholesale lines of new furniture, upholstery, and lighting ready to enrich your lifestyle at home!

All About Vignettes
All About Vignettes
Hi, I’m Kathy, aka, Vignettes, and I’m so excited that these two creative Southern women have made space for this Yankee in their design co-op.
I describe my look as a collected-over-time- mix-and-match style. I pretty much love all things vintage and I tend to make what I like and what I find into a cohesive "vignette". You could see a modern table next to a vintage frenchy chair and architectural fragments on MCM bookshelves. I've been described as a little funky, a little whimsical; and my finds are always vintage with a twist.
I write a blog, All About Vignettes, where I conduct design experiments in my home and share the results. My design work has been featured nationally on The Nate Berkus Show, where I was his guest; and my home has been photographed for a home tour on Houzz. I am also a guest designer at The Design House at The Old Lucketts Store.
